As the saying goes, you should never judge a book by its cover.
So, while Gladstone’s Library may have a heritage stretching back to the 1800s, there’s no shortage of digital forward thinking at the beautiful reading rooms in North Wales.
To celebrate this year’s Gladfest – a three-day literary festival with award-winning writers and speakers – organisers approached ICG to enhance the existing online booking system, which had been originally created by ICG several years ago.
ICG’s digital team upgraded the booking system to deliver a quicker and more convenient online user experience.
E-tickets are now emailed directly to festival goers and they feature a bar code which can be scanned directly from a mobile device on arrival.
Not only does it avoid unnecessary printing and postage costs but it also improves the day-to-day running of the festival!
With 50 per cent of ticket sales for the UK’s friendliest literary festival cleared within the first three weeks of the new booking system going live, the revitalised platform has proved to be just the ticket!
If all this sounds like just like your cup of tea, there’s still a chance to buy weekend, day or individual event tickets for Gladfest from September 7-9.
One of the most exciting addition to the festival this year is the all-new Gladfest Fringe which will be packed full of free music, spoken-word poetry, family entertainment and refreshments.
