When North West charity, Morecambe Bay Partnership reached out for help with a brand refresh, it was the perfect project for one of our designers who lives in this beautiful part of the world!
Bolstered with local knowledge, we created an exciting new look and feel to encapsulate the charity’s core focus – connecting people with the nature, culture and the heritage of Morecambe Bay.
We created a style that was friendly, warm and accessible with a colour palette inspired by nature and a logo that mirrors the rippling sands of the bay.
We also created graphical devices including bird prints, trees and footprints to help convey multiple narratives overlaid across photography.
The new brand has been rolled out across wayfinding posters, brochures and the website. An animated video was created to showcase picturesque walks, cycle trails, community spirit and nature reserves.
The new style also needed to work seamlessly with the charity’s projects including Ways Around The Bay and Love Morecambe Bay.
In a similar style, we created a heart-shaped logo for Love Morecambe Bay which is currently being used on merchandise including tote bags and t-shirts.
We also created a signpost-style logo for the route planner, Ways Around The Bay, which is being shared in a series of paid social media ads managed by our digital marketing team.
The revitalised look is already bringing in great results.
Sarah Mason, Chief Executive Officer of Morecambe Bay Partnership, said: “We were looking for a fresh new look which represented the sands of Morecambe Bay, and our role as a charity in championing the nature, heritage and culture of our special place.
“We are thrilled with the brand, imagery and logo the team at ICG have created for us. We have had great feedback from our supporters and can’t wait to develop more exciting resources using the brand to help our charity go from strength to strength.”
