Historic library “books” in with ICG

When the UK’s only Prime Ministerial library was looking to rebrand and promote its unique offering it turned to ICG.

Gladstone’s, which was founded by the Liberal statesman William Gladstone, is a stunning retreat in North Wales with plenty of space to read, write and relax.

ICG’s design team created a new look for Gladstone’s by strengthening its original branding, working hard to bring clarity to the different elements of the 120-year-old library.

The historic landmark’s logo has also been carefully refreshed. Now vertical, the logo fittingly imitates the spine of a book, whilst still retaining key elements of the original brand.

Bright, bold and vivid, the updated look has been rolled out across all aspects of the library’s marketing collateral.

ICG’s digital and PR teams also worked closely with staff at Gladstone’s to design write and build an informative, lively and interesting website.

Regular e-newsletters and strategic public relations are now being using to promote Hearth, the library’s upcoming micro-literary festival, in February with more PR campaigns planned for the coming months.
