Christmas may be just around the corner, but the ICG design team has had their Santa hats on since September to get ready for this festive time of year for award-winning retail and leisure asset management company, Realm.
With December being the busiest month on the retail calendar, ICG helped Realm prepare for the holidays by producing Christmas creative for seven of their shopping centres across the country; Freeport Fleetwood, Freeport Talke, Freeport Braintree, Clarks Village, Lakeside Village, Junction 32 and Dalton Park.
Each centre has its own unique design style, which runs through their creative throughout the year so that a different look and feel comes across for each outlet. Clarks Village kept its trademark hand-drawn style across all Christmas collateral with illustration giving a fresh, fun feel to the shopping centre’s festive season.
Along with creative for e-shots, web graphics and onsite posters, the team also created bespoke web pages and implemented online advertising takeovers for their Christmas events. These included everything from Christmas light switch-ons with celebrities such as Rylan Clark-Neal, star of The X Factor and This Morning, as well as Olympic athletes, through to Christmas mini golf, Santa’s grottos and late night shopping.
Junction 32’s Wishing Machine was a huge hit this year, with the ICG PR team supporting the centre’s magical Wish Makers as they spread Christmas cheer to the local community, granting wishes to members of the public and visiting schools and charities with gifts. The design team branded up packs of candy canes, puzzles and crayons for the Wish Makers to deliver to schools, and created bespoke wishing forms for people to post their Christmas wishes at the centre’s onsite Wishing Machine.
Amy Young, Account Manager for Realm at ICG, said: “Christmas has been a huge success, with increased footfall across the centres. Each outlet’s creative is unique and we always produce collateral that is different and vibrant for each retail outlet. We’ve had a great year and we’re looking forward to some more great campaigns in 2017.”
